What we collect

  • Vehicle and estimate details you enter in the calculator (year, make, model, VIN, condition, ZIP code).
  • Contact details you submit to get offers (name, phone number, optional email).
  • Consent records - the consent text shown to you, plus timestamp, page URL, and IP address, kept as proof you agreed to be contacted.
  • Basic usage data (device, approximate location, analytics) to operate and improve the site.

How we use it

  • To generate your estimate and connect you with car buyers.
  • To contact you about your request and selling your vehicle.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

How we share it

When you submit the offer form, we share your request - including your contact details and vehicle information - with one or more car buyers so they can make you an offer. We may also use service providers (hosting, analytics, communications) that process data on our behalf. We do not share your contact details with buyers until you submit the form and agree to be contacted.

Calls and texts (TCPA)

If you check the consent box and submit the form, you agree that JunkCarValue.com and the buyers we connect you with may call and text you (including by autodialer and prerecorded or AI voice) about selling your car. Consent is not a condition of any sale. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Sharing your contact details with car buyers may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to opt out.

  • To opt out, email support@junkcarvalue.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share."
  • We honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request where required.
  • You may also request access to, or deletion of, your personal information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Data retention

We keep lead and consent records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal record-keeping requirements, then delete or de-identify them.
