Georgia tip: Georgia's Form T-158 is the state's form for reporting and surrendering a license plate, and O.C.G.A. 40-2-20 requires a plate to be surrendered when the registration certificate is not available. The plate itself must go in with the form to your county tag office. The form also says not to surrender special or prestige plates. Ask your county tag office what to do with an ordinary plate when the car is junked.
