Junk car removal and free towing: how it works
Wondering how a junk car actually gets hauled away - and whether towing is really free? Here's how removal and pickup work.

Free towing should be included
With reputable buyers, towing is free and never deducted from your payout. A tow truck (with a winch for non-runners) comes to you. If a buyer tries to subtract a tow fee at pickup, that is a re-pricing red flag.
What happens at pickup
You schedule a pickup window. The driver confirms the car matches what you described, you complete the paperwork, and you get paid on the spot - before the car is loaded. Then it is winched or driven onto the truck and hauled to a recycler or dismantler.
Before the truck arrives
Remove your plates and any personal items, have your title and ID ready, and make sure the car is accessible. A clear path saves time and avoids hiccups at pickup.
Frequently asked questions
With reputable buyers, yes - and it should never be deducted from your payout. A surprise tow fee at pickup is a warning sign.
